Caught Doing Good for Kids is our upcoming CASA fundraiser. We have done this event for the past 5 years, and it gets easier and more fun each year. We hope that we might be able to “reel” some of you in this year. Caught Doing Good for Kids is a tournament like no other. It is a virtual event, and it is fun, competitive, and simple!
What is it all about? We want to snag you and 3 or 4 of your co-workers, neighbors, family, or friends. Your crew would team up on Friday, April 16, 2021, to “fish” for donations among your network of contacts, who will help get you ”off the hook” with a simple tax-deductible donation to CASA made via phone, text, email, or social media. All donations will be used to further our mission to help abused and neglected children.
It is so easy. We will provide tips on what your team members will say and we will give you all the information you need to make those calls or send emails, texts, or a post for social media. Donating is easy and it can be done online, via phone, or by cash or checks
Not hard, but certainly an adventure! In the meantime you will have fun, laugh a bit, eat great food, fish for prizes, get your picture posted on Facebook and maybe appear on television. I can guarantee you a two-hour fishing spot that will conveniently fit in your schedule, or you can even “fish” from your own “pond” if it is more convenient for your team.
The competition can be fierce and there will probably be a lot of ‘fishing stories’ or ‘real whoppers’ that will be shared that day. We have several teams from the past that will be joining us again, and a couple of new teams that want to join in the fun. Who knows, your team might just end up winning one of the coveted trophies. The greatest gift of all is that you can get to help us help the children!
Contact Katherine Elliott for more information or to recommend a possible team lead for this event. She can be reached at 903-597-7725, or you can email her at firstname.lastname@example.org . We look forward to hearing from you!
