Caught Doing Good For Kids

Each year, CASA for Kids of East Texas hosts a “Caught Doing Good for Kids” fundraiser in the Spring. The event, held at CASA headquarters in Tyler, exists to raise funds and awareness of CASA’s work in the community and to recruit volunteer advocates to work with abused and neglected kids.

During the event, teams formed from local businesses and community leaders are “reeled in” to the CASA office. To get “off the hook,” teams secure donations by reaching out to their friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, etc. The teams compete for prizes and trophies, while enjoying networking and refreshments in the “fish tank.”

The teams meet to fish for donations among their network of contacts, which will help get them off the hook with a simple tax-deductible donation to CASA made via phone, on-line donations, text, email, and social media. All donations further our mission to help abused and neglected children.

Teams enjoy competing while talking a little smack, eating great food, and fishing for prizes! Each team chooses a two-hour fishing spot that will conveniently fit their schedule, or they can even fish from their own “pond” if it is more convenient.
