About Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is a national volunteer movement founded in 1977. Since 1990, CASA for Kids of East Texas has been a member of the National and Texas CASA Associations. There are more than 1,000 CASA programs nationwide and 72 CASA programs in the state of Texas. We are assigned by the court to represent foster children.
