Help abused and neglected children with a gift today!
Children with a CASA have their own personal advocate, representing their needs and interests in court, finding resources, recommending services, ensuring safety, advancing their educational and medical needs, and becoming a trusted confidant. CASA advocates are experts at listening, researching, evaluating, and recommending. They identify needs and fill gaps. They are life-changers and difference-makers.

CASA for Kids of East Texas is sad to share that long-time volunteer advocate Priscilla Hoffman passed away July 4. She was well known for her dedication to children and CASA. She never stopped learning and asking questions and went out of her way to make children feel loved, heard and special. Ms. Priscilla served CASA for Kids of East Texas as a volunteer advocate for 24 years, helping 42 children during this time. Can you image the impact of that work and the difference she made for those children? The staff and legal team will miss Ms. Priscilla and her fierce advocacy for her CASA kids.
The funeral will be Friday, July 12, 10:30am *time has been changed* at Our Lady of Immaculate Conception in Tyler. Visit her obituary here: www.autryfuneralhome.com/obituaries/Priscilla-Elizabeth-Scott-Hoffman?obId=32307664
We are saddened about the loss of one of our past board members, Bradley Frans. Brad served on our CASA board in 2019-2020. He became a member of our board to help advocate for our East Texas children’s needs. As stated from his obituary, “Brad was a loving husband, father, son, and friend who was loved by everyone who knew him. He loved to travel and give his family wonderful life experiences and vacations. Brad had many hobbies and interests, but none greater than spending time with family and friends, hosting get-togethers and making people laugh.”
CASA will be honoring Brad with a memorial tree. A Requiem Mass will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Tyler.
