Protecting children is always our number one job, and that starts with background checks. Texas CASA has informed us that criminal background checks are transitioning from the Texas Department of Public Safety to the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). As part of this statewide change, all CASA volunteers and staff throughout Texas will need to complete a new fingerprinting process.
The good news?
- You already have fingerprints; we just need HHSC to have them, too!
- CASA will pay for the fingerprint checks up front.
- Indentigo has many date/time options.
- CASA will schedule the appointment for you upon receipt of your completed form.
