Topic: Neurodivergence
Bio: Not only has Dr. Brandon Bretl presented topics for our advocates in both 2022 and 2024, he is currently a member of our board. Brandon Bretl began his teaching career traveling and teaching English abroad in countries including Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. Upon returning to the US, he completed an alternative route to teaching certification and taught middle school and high school math and science in a variety of private and public schools. In 2016, he began work as a research assistant on the standardized science assessments in Kansas and completed his Ph.D. in educational psychology at the University of Kansas in 2020. While there, he was awarded the Nona Tollefson Fellowship for Quantitative Research in Education.
